GREETINGS FOLKs!
While studying and working as a graphic designer abroad,
I found myself drawn to creating something inspired by Korea.
When I returned to Korea during COVID-19,
the first place I visited was Gyeongbokgung Palace
—at once beautiful, ornate, and quietly restrained.
At the National Palace Museum of Korea,
I came across Sijeonji (Seonbi's letter paper)—vertical sheets
from the Joseon period adorned with a variety of illustrations.
Each image held its own meaning,
yet all shared a quiet intention: a wish for
the recipient to be surrounded by good fortune.
Minhwa often referred to as
“paintings of happiness,”
carry wishes for good fortune and joy.
That beautiful intention continues into the present,
and I came to see it as something deeply rooted in
what feels most distinctly Korean.
GREETINGS FOLKs brings together Sijeonji,
Minhwa, traditional objects, and Korean culture—woven
with my experience in the UK—through the medium
of letters and stationery. After deep thought,
our GREETINGS FOLKs launched in July 2025.
During our journey, we’ve collaborated with brands
we love, and had the chance to meet many of you in person
through a pop-up at Mosi in Seochon
—one of my personal bucket-list moments.
These experiences gave me a feeling
of warmth and care from so many of you
who have continued to watch over and
support GREETINGS FOLKs.
As a stationery brand, we heard sweet and
often warm stories about our stationery
that made our heart feel warmed.
My heartfelt thanks to you all!
After a long thought,
GREETINGS FOLKs decided to
close our door from 3 April 2026 for
a new chapter
In the heart of every graphic designer,
there is always a space for
a personal project—a brief of one’s own.
GREETINGS FOLKs is my lifelong project for me.
So, it may appear in different forms,
in different countries or beyond a stationery.
I hope you will find us and say hello! ☺️
